Super Bowl XLVI

In just a few short hours, the New York Giants and New England Patriots will play in Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, Indiana. Coming into the game, most of the talk over two weeks has been about injured Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski. Allthough he is expected to play, an injured Gronkowski is not as effective as he normally would be. I believe this will be the key to the game for the Patriots. If they can find a way to utilize an injured Gronkowski, they will have a good chance to win the game. Another key for the Patriots will be to step up on defense. Rob Ninkovich and Devin McCourty will need to have big games in order to stop the potent Giants offense.

For the Giants, the key to the game will be to get to Tom Brady early and often. If their "NASCAR" defense can break through the Patriots offensive line, it will be a long game for New England. On offense, the Giants should have no problem picking apart a Patriots pass defense that was one of the worst in the NFL this season. The Giants will have to be able to run the ball effectively to keep the Patriots off balance.

In this rematch of Super Bowl XLII, fans are expecting a game that comes down to the wire, much like the last one. I don't think this one will. Prediction: Giants 31, Patriots 17.
